Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Hidden place located in Mantin but close to Seremban ... Popular rice wine chicken , too bad chicken finished. Swop to rice wine egg, the rice wine soup is a bit too sweet for me...no petai today, ordered steam fish, fish is fresh, overall meal is good. Need to wait...there are queues..."
"Lunch hour is not a good choice on a super sunny day. While eating, u can feel your sweat is coming by …food is overall not bad; wine chicken for me quite sweet; fish is fresh and good."
"Had a delightful open-air lunch with my family of six at this quaint spot. We arrived a tad late around 1:45 pm on Thursday and found a simple yet satisfying selection left: fish, eggs, and veggies. We opted for two red tilapia, weighing in at 2.3kg for RM 103. They were incredibly tasty, with perfect cooking that highlighted their freshness – a testament to the chef’s skill as steamed fish requires precise timing. The egg omelets and vegetables were also delicious and reasonably priced. The road path to the restaurant was okay in itself, with 90% well-tarred roads and the final 10% offering a slight off-road thrill with stones and cement. A return visit? Definitely YES."
"Restaurant that located in the forest. Because its a fishing pool previously, now become restaurant. Business by Chinese people, some people think they are penduduk tetap. But they are mix, mum is foreigner(not sure is Thai or not). Their famous dishes is Yellow Wine Chicken. Its tasty but abit bland compare to others. Others dishes is okay too. Price is not expensive too. 5 dishes here only 8x. Environment not need say jor, surrounded with fresh air and feelings."
"Small non-descript restaurant in the middle of nowhere. But when we visited on a Sunday the place was packed. We ordered simple dishes, with the only exception being the signature rice wine chicken which was very good. The steamed tilapia was also good. Waiting time was quite long due to the crowd. Open air parking was plentiful. The toilet is kampung style but quite well maintained. The approach road was narrow but in good condition except the last 100m which was loose gravel."
"The restaurant is hidden on top of a small hill. Do not miss their signboard to turn on a winding road to Mantin from Seremban. There was crowd and waiting time for large or small groups. Service is okay with a short waiting time to be served with food. Famous or popular dishes are the yellow wine chicken and the fish. We also called the tofu, egg and potato leave dishes which were also yummy. For the chicken, it is either half or one chicken. Hence, is more suitable for mid to larger group. This is not the usual restaurant, but with atap roofs, external toilets, small lake pond. Parking is sufficient."
